“duniya de rang is a Collaboration of passionate and dedicated bhangra dancers from across the U.S. We aim to spread love, acceptance and creativity in the circuit.”

i was contracted to create a logo that they could wear on their team apparel for the 2019 competitive season.

this logo is inspired by the retro typography that was prevalent in the 70’s. the organization’s name, duniya de rang, means “a world of color” in punjabi. this design is just that - a world of color. in order to distinguish themselves amongst other bhangra dance teams in their circuit, the symbol of a kato, a popular instrument used in the dance performance, became a focal point to add that touch of culture in this modern take of a vintage era.
