“Legends is the official Bollywood Dance Championship founded by former dancers and competition organizers from the Desi Dance community. We are united in our deep sense of care and passion for this circuit and are dedicated to fostering our community of South Asian performing artists. We strive to organize a fair, hospitable, and truly enjoyable national championship weekend - one that provides a grand venue for our fellow artists to showcase their exceptional talents. follow our facebook and instagram for more updates!
i joined legends in 2017 as the public relations chair, where i created the marketing platform to grow and showcase the brand. my responsibilities included collaborating on collateral to manage all social media activity through facebook, instagram, twitter, and youtube.
the brand
the identity of legends relies heavily on its sense of community and collaboration of talent. in order to appeal to the collegiate competitive audience, it was important to drive the idea of being at the top and striving for the win. the “crown” symbol was a frequent icon used in all media content as it showed the distinction between us as the primary national competition and those that operate at a more regional tier.
using all colors between the orange to purple gradient spectrum also allowed us to create a wide range of content yet also stick to a cohesive color palette that resonated with our viewers.

the content below is directly from the official legends instagram account. the variety of video edits contain audio visualizers, apparel inventory, contest promos, and ticket sale ads. i created each of these for use throughout the season to provide insight on our announcements, deadlines, and general information that required audience engagement.
