“What’s up! We’re desi dance network’s first alumni team to focus on hip hop and urban styles of dance. We’re providing an outlet for DDN alumni - outside of the college dance scene – to still keep their passion for dance and performance alive. i joined the watchlist as a dancer in its first year. since the team was building from the ground up, i contributed through designing the team’s costume and gear using the established logo and color scheme.

the apparel

in keeping with the black, yellow, and white, color palette, it was important to utilize these 3 colors to enhance the logo since it was the first year of the team’s identity. the logo itself is a fusion animal of a racoon and owl, so the bright colors and layout were meant to represent urban design frequently seen in hip-hop culture.
